About us
Smooth Scribe is a small UK family run stationery business that specialises in eco-friendly, sustainable and vegan stationery founded in 2022. The business is jointly run by Sharon Turner and her 15-year old sons who wanted to open a sustainable business. Smooth Scribe combines beautiful design and the highest quality stationery without compromising on the planet. Our products are made in the UK, using sustainable and eco-friendly materials and processes that protect the planet. We only work with small UK businesses, suppliers and organisations who actively adopt a sustainable ethos or are providing vital work to protect UK wildlife. We are currently giving back to UK wildlife as an official fundraiser for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society 🦔.
The designing process
Sharon designs our cards. She begins thinking about a possible character or focal point of a card.
First sketch drafts
The images are then sketched out on paper in draft form. These are then redrawn free hand on a tablet. Watch the video to see the process.
